I created this website to share some of the things I care about most: photography, science, and a general curiosity about the world around us. I’m based in Berlin, with a background in molecular biology and a camera that often points toward the night sky.
My path has taken me through very different worlds. I grew up in Bonn, spent several years in Boston researching the molecular biology of Toxoplasma gondii, and later returned to Germany to lead my family’s fitness and wellness business through the pandemic. That experience brought me much closer to people, responsibility, and decision-making in ways the lab never had.
After that, I worked in management consulting before joining a Berlin startup building generative AI software for the pharmaceutical industry, helping medical professionals navigate growing volumes of scientific information to support better patient care.
Today, things have in some ways come full circle: I once again work closely with scientists, now at Benchling, building tools that help researchers plan experiments, manage scientific data, collaborate more effectively, and ultimately develop new drugs and therapies.
Outside of work, my interests tend to branch off in many directions: photography with a special fascination for the night sky, geology, tinkering with technology and DIY home projects, baking, or getting lost in a good podcast or on a long hike. Whether in the lab, at work, building something with my hands, behind the camera, or out in nature, I’m drawn to things that require attention, patience, and care.
This site is where some of those threads come together. Thanks for stopping by. If anything here resonates, feel free to say hello—I’d love to hear from you!
